Concord Hospital recognizes the unwavering dedication and resilience of our healthcare professionals. Their commitment to providing exceptional care often comes amidst demanding circumstances, and it's crucial that we provide them with the support they deserve.
In response to this need, our aCHieve Wellness Advisory Council has launched our Peer Support Program, a pilot initiative designed to offer timely and empathetic support to our clinical staff following difficult incidents or accumulated stressors.
Our Peer Support Program is anchored by a team of nineteen trained clinical peer responders, each equipped with 'lived experience' and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by their colleagues. They are available to provide a listening ear, offer encouragement, and connect peers with positive coping mechanisms.
Peer support is not therapy; it is a one-time intervention that fosters camaraderie and promotes emotional well-being. It is a testament to our commitment to creating a supportive and empowering work environment for all our healthcare heroes.
